Awakening of Love is a two-day experiential retreat for people who want to understand themselves less from the outside and encounter themselves more directly — through the body, emotions, meditation, relationship and honest human contact.
What do we mean by “love”?
Not romantic love, and not trying to make yourself more loving. Here, love has much more to do with contact: the capacity to be present with yourself, to feel what you feel, to know what matters to you, and to meet another person without so much hiding, performing or protecting. In a world that often pulls us away from what’s real, here we invite you to open your heart, release old defenses, and rediscover the freedom and aliveness that are already within you.
What actually happens
Over the course of the weekend, we gradually move from slowing down and noticing how you are actually arriving, into exercises that bring you into closer contact with your body, emotions, protective patterns and longing.
Some practices are done individually, some with another participant, and some with the whole group. There is meditation, movement and body awareness, structured self-inquiry, honest sharing and opportunities to receive individual support from the facilitators.
Rather than only talking about your patterns, the group gives you opportunities to notice them as they happen: the moment you pull back, disappear into your head, accommodate someone else, hide something true, stop yourself from reaching, or lose contact with what you want. And, with support, to experiment with something different.
Awakening of Love may be for you if…
- Life is “good” but you feel you’ve become disconnected from yourself.
- You understand your patterns intellectually but keep finding yourself repeating them.
- You want more intimacy or authenticity but notice yourself protecting against it.
- You have done therapy, meditation or inner work and want something more experiential.
- You’re at a transition point and want space to listen more deeply.
- You’re curious about Path of Love but aren’t ready to commit to seven days.
No previous personal-growth or meditation experience is required.
Where this can lead
Awakening of Love is complete in itself. Many people come for the weekend, take what opened, and live from it.
For those who feel the pull toward something deeper, this weekend is also the doorway into Path of Love, the seven-day residential process this work grows from.
